Join us at Toronto Fashion Week from September 4-6th in Bloor-Yorkville where top Canadian fashion talent will debut their Spring/Summer 2019 collections on the runway in Yorkville Village and in presentation format in the Studio. Shop in the RE\SET designer showroom, an engaging, consumer-facing retail experience where the public will have the opportunity to meet designers and shop current collections in addition to pre-ordering SS’19. The RE\SET™ showroom will be located at 87 Yorkville Ave. and will be open to the public daily from 3pm – 9pm. The Bloor-Yorkville BIA is, once again, a Proud Community Sponsor of this event.
Each day kicks off with the live taping of the Fashion Talks™ podcast. Join host Donna Bishop in the Studio (upper level of Yorkville Village) as she chats with special guests Elizabeth Peyton-Jones (fashion activist and founder of the Responsible Trust for Models) about her work within the fashion and modelling industry to protect, educate and empower young models; Caitlin Cronenberg and Jessica Ennis (photographer and product and set designer), about the power of fashion in their new book The Endings: Photographic Stories of Love, Loss, Heartbreak and Beginning Again; and Dr. Alexandra Palmer (Nora E. Vaughan Senior Curator, Textiles and Costume at the Royal Ontario Museum) about the importance of fashion and textile collections for museums and for its visitors.
AND for the first time this season, Toronto Life and FASHION’s annual “Best Dressed” bash will take place during the closing night party.
With an impressive range of talented designers, guests will have the opportunity to take in runway shows or studio presentations from this season’s roster, which includes Christopher Bates, HAYLEY ELSAESSER, HENDRIXROE, NARCES, ZOFF and RE\SET™ designers, Alex S.
