New + Now kicks off with an exclusive preview gala of our new International Ceramic Art Exposition featuring outstanding Canadian ceramics alongside cutting-edge works from top international gallerists, and the opening of David R. Harper: Zodiac, a spectacular museum-wide installation. View and purchase some of the world’s most extraordinary contemporary ceramic art, on display in Toronto for the first time.

David R. Harper: Zodiac – Exhibit
Part of New + Now
Toronto-born artist David R. Harper presents a museum-wide installation inspired by the twelve signs of the zodiac. This original work was commissioned as part of New + Now, an annual celebration of emerging artists and contemporary ceramics, nationally and internationally.
The installation will be revealed at the New + Now Gala on November 15.
About the Artist
David R. Harper (b. Toronto, Canada) completed his BFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Sculpture before pursuing an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies at the Art Institute of Chicago. He has held solo exhibitions in Canada and the United States, and exhibited in group shows at the National Gallery of Canada, MASS MoCA, and the Gardiner Museum. Harper’s work is in many permanent collections including the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, and the Frederick R. Weisman Foundation of Los Angeles.
