Summer Music in the Park
As a designated Tourist Area, Bloor-Yorkville is excited to host residents and visitors for another season of the Summer Music in the Park music series taking place throughout the summer in the Village of Yorkville Park, located at Bellair St. and Cumberland St.
Stroll through the neighbourhood, have a seat and tap your feet to the smooth summer sounds ranging from piano virtuoso Attila Fias and his trio, Celtic/Americana with David Leask, old-school dance-ability and silky strong vocals from Gyles, jazz with Lucien Grey Quartet, Latin with Farrucas Duo, to an exciting combination of latin, funk & fusion with Santerias.
The Summer Music in the Park concert series takes place June 9th to September 9th on Fridays from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and Saturdays, Sundays (July/Aug) & Statutory Holidays between 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm (weather permitting).
Yorkville Exotic Car Show
On Father’s Day 2017, Bloor-Yorkville, Toronto’s destination for high-end boutiques, restaurants and hotels will play host to the 7th annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show. Walk along the red carpet on Bloor Street between Avenue Road and Bay Street to get up close with some of the best examples of automotive design from around the world. Drop by the Bloor-Yorkville BIA Tent for giveaways and to Enter to Win a contest for a Bloor-Yorkville Prize Package! Once again, we’ve partnered with Prostate Cancer Canada (PCC) to raise funds for prostate cancer research. The PCC Tent will feature a spin the “Prize Raffle Wheel” for a chance to win a prize. PCC will also be holding a 50/50 Draw They will be selling tickets at tables located near the Bay St. and Avenue Rd. entrances, as well as the PCC booth. Every dollar counts! As always, admission is FREE.
On Saturday, November 18, the Bloor-Yorkville BIA will kick off the holiday season with Holiday Magic, the spectacular annual community concert event in support of the Canadian Foundation for Aids Research (CANFAR).
Between 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, families, friends and music lovers are invited to this FREE EVENT in the Village of Yorkville Park (Cumberland & Bellair Streets) for the Official “Flick the Switch” Lighting Ceremony and an exciting live musical performance by Canadian R&B / Pop Star Keshia Chanté!
The evening’s musical entertainment will start with a performance by The Rosedale Day School Choir.
